I'm confused- Is he playing hard to get?

Okay, so there is this guy I really like, but I've only gotten to know him for like a week. I had to sit by him once on the bus because all the seats were full... I got to know him. Then, at the football I waved at him and said hi, but kept walking... then out of nowhere he ran up behind me and starting talking to me. My guy-friend was also with me at the time... so it felt a little awkward 4 him I'm guessing, but anyways... we were walking around the track and when we had walked about 1/2 a mile he noticed him.. lol. So, I told him... haha. Then when we got near the stands (3/4 mile) my guy friend went and sat in the stands, but I kept talking to this guy I know. We walked nearly a mile talking! It was amazing, but the game was nearly over and I had to get home with my guy-friend... so I told him by. Then I texted him the next day... just kind of made small talk... and texted him Saturday saying hi, sup? then... today I just asked him about a band he showed me... I'm scared I may scare him away! I don't know what to do... because he rides my bus. Any suggestions would be awesome. I truly really like him... I don't know how to get him to really like me the way I like him. I haven't told anyone about him. I don't want to get embarred.
