Knocking down a chimney ?

im going to be knocking down a chimney 600 wide .the chimney is made of stone not brick.im going to be using strongboy wall supports to prop the chimney before the rsj's are put in place.has anyone used these? will there be a problem with them because its a stone and not brick chimney?
