I'm looking for recipes for a hearty broth-based soup to serve my kids and their friends on Halloween.?

I'm looking for a broth-based soup with meats, veggies, and maybe pasta in it that will match a wide variety of tastes. I want to feed a load of kids something warm and hearty before they go out trick-or-treating. No, please don't give me thematic pumpkin soups--just straight-up soups to serve with bread. Thanks.
