If Jesus was resurrected after his crucifixtion then what happened next?

What did Jesus do? Where did Jesus go? When did he really die? Did he go into hiding or something? If Jesus could simply resurrect himself then why can't he just start a war and kill every bad guy there is? I mean he can't really die for he can simply resurrect himself. Why isn't Lazarus considered to be just as good as Jesus? He was resurrected too. Or is this just a fairy tale brewed up by story tellers?
